Anthony Weiner resigned his Congressional seat yesterday after lying for weeks about uploading smut pictures of his junk on the public Internet.
His 2:oo pm speech described all the qualities that Americans expect from their Representatives. The same expectations he not only failed to embrace but, defied their importance.He betrayed his office and the faith of those who voted for his promised to serve.
Like other's who preceded him in public resignation the choice of honesty was prompted by the lying wasn't working and the truth would rear it's ugly head anyhow. The spin after the lying was he actually never had sex with these women. For my money I think Weiner deviate actions were more perverse than those who chose to have inappropriate sexual encounters. In the end it's all about bearing false witness and not fidelity.
Returning stolen property as your handcuffed is not honesty or coming forward with truth.
Anthony Weiner not only shares his alumni with Edwards, Spitzer, Clinton and Arnold Sharzenagger his name is added to those in government sleeping on the job and downloading/ uploading porn on the public trust.
If we fix anything in government we should have homeland security expose all these behaviors under the Patriot Act. All Member of Congress should be forced to drug testing and personal information exposed rather than concealed.
