Butler Wins the Four at Indy

Butler University defeated Michigan just now on CBS! This is truly a modern day David and Goliath story. The game played this year in Indy!!

The Butler Field house in Indianapolis found international exposure in the 1985 Gene Hackman flick "Hoosiers". Most of the film was shot within 30 miles of Butler. The NCAA is played at various venues each year adding to the irony that a very tiny college in Indy's old north side is competing for national recognition in Indy
.
"Hoosiers" is the accurate story of the 1954 Indiana HS State Basketball Champions where the town of Milan,In pop 500. Won the big show against Muncie Central a school with more students than the whole town of Milan. Muncie's team accurately portrayed as predominantly negro and much taller adds to the team win.

As you may note; I'm very close to this story. My mother received a Masters and Doctorate at Butler as I grew up.
One more game Monday Night and the Cinderella Story of tiny Milan HS and Bobby Plumps final shot from the cheap seats could repeat on National Stage 56 years later if Butler wins Monday!!
